Midsummer NiGHTopia [open, and still accepting characters, humans now avalible]

Puc found himself sound in his thoughts, it seemed that the voice brought him little concern now, there had to be a solution, but what was it? and why did this happen in the first place?
Puc thought on it, when it started......after the fight with Vaye.
His wound.....could that trace to the voice......if so....was this, a parasite?
Living inside Puc to give off these horrid messages?
.......It was the only lead he had now, but he had to keep this to himself, if Eva found out.....she would just worry.
He couldn't have that happen again, not after his collapse. Perhaps....he would try to sneak out for his answer, his cure.

"The real Puc...the real Puc isn-...is no-..." Eva drifted off, staring hard at the floor...but not seeing anything. The real Puc...the real Puc....he has to be the sweet, condciderate, and trustworthy Puc she has be so fortunate to know and share time with...that's the only reasonable answer. Everything he's shared with her...everything he's done for her, there's nothing at all like that terrifying lunatic in him....but...but could that only be beacuse Wizeman had fixed him?
Chive looked strangely at Eva, supprised to see her actually go over the deep end about something that had been fixed, but he couldn't just sit by and watch her panic. "...Eva.." Chive began quietly, placing a hand on her shoulder as he tired to show her reason, "..just calm yourself down, please...there are not any reasons to be all worked up."
"The wolf is reason enough, Chive-!" Eva retorted in a fast whisper, emotion taking control of her words, "I...I need to know what Puc was like before he had his mind re-written...but to do that.." Eva trailed off, her hard stare softened, and trembeling slowed down, "....I would have to ask Master.."

Reala awoke, finding himself with NiGHTS and SPiTE, on a training ground of some sort, standing in front of them, was none other then the hybrid, Lei-Lei. "Master's orders, was to put each of your combat skills to the test against my talents. Should you survive this, Master Wizeman has been considerate enough of making the winners half-humans, such as myself of course. Should you lose, you will instantly become a public enemy of nightmare, with punishment most grueling. So, now that you know the rules, who will fight first?" Lei-Lei awaited on of these 3 nightmarens to proof their courage by being the first to fight, and out of the corner of Reala's eye, NiGHTS stood in front of Lei-Lei....the first opponent.

Puc awoke of find strange changes of his own, his blank room, now covered in vines and vines of thorns and flowers. A beautiful yet scary sight, he sat up, this didn't seem right....plants were obviously Vaye's power, so why......was she in this home? she couldn't be....there was no way.....unless....He looked at his scarred hand, and noticed a strange occurrence, it was already healed.....

"...Ask Master?" Chive repeated, his voice of concern now collapsing into a plea of desperation, "Eva, you are not even being rational anymore..! Jusy go rest...please..."
"Rest?" Eva's voice snapped as her head turned swiftly towards Chive, the definition of the word was nothing but nonsense to her, "...Rest? With this on my mind? I don't think s-.......rest.." Eva trailed off, allowing her heavy head to droop once more towards the floor again, the white of her eyes begining a glow as her mind began to form a plan, "....Thank you Chive...I will rest. Rest sounds...absolutely lovely..."
"Thank you, Eva." Chive replied with a long sigh of relief, already standing half way out the door, "Perhaps we can discuss things together when your mind is refreshed."
"Of course, dear brother..." Eva replied, kicking her boots off bluntly as her hands fiddled with the buttons on her coat. "Of course, dear brother, of course...please leave me now..."

Puc was trapped in by this spreading weed as it spreed its vines to block the door. He stood up, he couldn't let fear take over him, or his surroundings, standing up against this menace was the only smart choice at the moment, otherwise.....
The voice spoke out again, "You can't hide Puc....."
"Let me go" Puc called out to the voice, the vines began to move and sliver.
"Don't try to escape, embrace the change."
The vines moved in like snakes in a cobra trap, adjusting to new surroundings, ready to strike Puc...

As the gentle click of Eva's door pulled shut finished its dying echo off the walls of her room, Eva found herself once again in silent solitary, just her and her own dangerous thoughts..how things have always been.
It isn't Eva's duty to do this. Choosing to decide fate for someone else isn't even something right for her to do...but that feeling, true fear...Eva wil not stand to be put through such a cruel thing again. It might not be her place to decide things for Puc that he has no way to even remember...but Eva has come to her choices...she will do all she can to make sure that that wolf never comes back, and if it means keeping Puc from learning some of his memories...then...then...then it has to be done....he would want that too if he knew...he would, right..?

All Reala could do was watch. He could easily be coward and run or even look away from this fight, the battle of Wizeman's prototypes, one complete, the other free. It was tough for Reala....to even be considering to try to match skills with Lei-Lei, already having a few sparring matches and yet was always the one worn out in the end.....such a pity. NiGHTS never went on the offense, NiGHTS knew the point to this challenge, and against all odds, would try to match it.

Puc watched as danger approached him from all sides, the vines edged in closer, as Puc took to his feet, standing before his attackers. It wouldn't end like this, coiled up and left for dead in Eva's home...he was no longer weak....he had Eva...Eva was all he needed....the vines strike, all at once, cover over Puc like a dark cloud about to downpour.....there was silence, a scream was let out,.... and Puc used his voice to immobilize the vines scattering in all directions of his room now, as dead vegetation.

Eva wasn't entirely sure of what she had heard, but from what she could make out of the odd surprising noise, it sounded like a muffled scream had been bellowed from somewhere throughout the chamber.
Acting through impulse Eva quickly found herself back at her door, but as she reached out and pulled the knob...the door remained closed. Baffled she tugged on the door again, only recieving the jingle of shaking metal from the other side...shaking metal....that paranoid little...there's no way he went and did that to her..no way!
Eva tugged on the door again and again, and still, only recieved a symphony of rattleing chains and locks playing a song of ridicule for her from the other side. Chive has gone and locked her in! That little doofus has gone and locked her in! Why if Eva wasn't so tired right now she would just paraloop herself right into his quarters and show that little moron what-for! ....But more importantly, if she was stuck in her room, there was no way for her to get to the source of the scream...and even it was muffled...she knew that scream could only be one of Puc's..
"CHIVE-!!" Eva raged, the gingling of chains now playing an up-beat march of anger, "..-So help me when I get out of here!!"

Puc couldn't just stand there with a blank stare, he had to find help.....this voice....it had to disappear. He ran to his door, tarring away the dead vines and turning the door to exit out. The voice spoke....angered....
"Are you sure you want find them.....with the way you look right now...."
Puc froze, what did this voice mean, he looked at his hand, green in color with various purple colored slashes.....the virus was spreading.....he needed help as he ran out of his room and down the hallway.

Chive could hear the many chains and restraints slowly giving way as Eva slowly began to wear them down, but even with the cries of freedom buzzing around his head he remained defiantly in his room, even with his mind telling him he shouldn't be doing this. But something surprised him, the sounds of quick feet scurrying down the hall. No...no way, Eva couldn't have broken out already, the chains were still singing! He..he has to check...and for the first time in a while, allowed curiousity to get the best of him. Chive cracked the door and peered out, expecting to see a blur of red sprinting to come chain him up to his bed in fair revenge, but seeing not a blur of red, but a blur of gray...his hightened emotions died easily. What was Puc wanting? Oh dear...hopefuly nothing about his Master...

Puc noticed a door way, show light through the hallway, his heart pulsing hoping it was Eva, but alas....Chive, he still could be able to help....Puc just needed someone to help, he did act like the smarts of this home anyway. "Chive!" Puc called out to him as he approached his room, "Chive, I need your help. it's urgent!"

The battle subsided, both NiGHTS and Lei-Lei stood their ground, but Lei-Lei was the only one who showed signs of fatigue. it impressed Reala, that NiGHTS hid this inner strength from everyone in nightmare....,and yet, it was the reason Reala despised NiGHTS, out of all the nightmarens....Reala deserved that power......
NiGHTS walked past the group, even if NiGHTS had passed the test, the second choice was the way to go, and stay a public enemy.

Being called for help so suddenly caught Chive off guard, but keeping in with his reputation of working quickly on his feet, his shock immedtiately blew away into a actions. "Come in, come in-" Chive breathed out quickly opening the door for Puc as he steped aside. "What is it that ales you, Puc?"
Chive wasn't sure what could possibly be the matter with Puc...but he only hoped that it wouldn't bring up the red little caged bird down the hallway..

Puc entered into Chive's room swiftly,he didn't want to hear that voice again......hoping Chive would know the solution. "He held up his arm, strange in color and markings. "I don't know what's happening, but I've been hearing this voice, my arm has turned this green color, my room was covered in vines that tried to attack me......what does all of this mean Chive?"

"Goodness.." Chive muttered to himself as he looked over Puc's arm, intrested, but eyes still half-closed. "..It appears as though you may be infected with some form of virus.." Chive said calmly as he held Puc's arm out and rolled up the sleeve, "...have you perhaps come in contact with some sort of anomaly recently, Puc? Maybe something such as a produced toxin or unfamiliar sting or bite...or maybe even something so simple as an odd spore off a wild flower? Such things can bring about delusions such as hearing voices and whatnot as you claim...but if you were being attacked by vines....I suppose the only plausible answer would indeed be an interaction with a harzordus plant then...can you remember being near any wild-life recently? Perhaps on a mission with....with Eva?"

Puc bit his lip, Chive hit the nail right on the head, guess it was a good choice to speak with him first.... "I know how this happened, for the most part. Eva and I were....on a mission at the time when a rouge nightmaren attacked us....a familiar face from the past who wanted revenge against me...so decided to fight her alone, as she had for her attack force, a massive plant with a giant slimy mouth and many vines patruding from it. Not being careful....I got slashed by one of these vines on my palm.....and then the symptoms started....is there a solution Chive?"

Chive continued to look over Puc's changing arm, and letting the arm fall away from his grasp, Chive's tone soon switched to that of a conciderate one. "...You need an anti-toxin," Chive said lightly as he rested his hands on his hips, unpleased to see something such as this happen because of some vegence a person holds for another. "The plant you describe must have some kind of poison solution on its body...which most likely entered your system when it was brushed into your hand from the vine penatrating your skin. I am not sure on how to reverse this infection myself, but if this was caused by a Nightmaren...then that Nightmaren is the one at fault..."
With the solution to this conundrum right at their feet, Chive was positive that finding this female may prove fruitful for them..and in any case..Puc needs this cure sooner rather than later, for his sake. He's Eva's lov-...first close admiror, after all...which practiaclly makes him part of their odd family.
"...To retrieve this cure for you, Puc," Chive began, gliding over and begining to strap and buckle his brush to his back, "..I shall go confront its maker."

Reala watched as NiGHTS left, he didn't say a word, he didn't show emotion, and then looked over at SPiTE.....missing from his spot, SPiTE went right to attacking the injured Lei-Lei, confident in his skills, and yet easily miss lead, with one attack, Lei-Lei sent SPiTE flying from off his feet, and directly back onto the ground, barely able to to stand up.

Puc wanted to believe that Vaye had changed, for everyone's sake, but also now for Chive, who wanted to meet her for the antidote. "Her name is Vaye, the nightmaren who creates and controls plants. The last time I encountered her was at a beach, and before that was at the dream gate.....but I'm not sure where she is now....." Puc grew quiet, the voice spoke again.....it's tone haunting.

"The more you bring, the more I'll feed on.......go alone if you don't want others hurt."

Puc shivered.....it was advice.....but it sounded like a false tip....

Chive reviewed Puc's inforamtion thoroghly through his mind again and again, making himself remember to take the caution of her abilities into account. If this Vaye can produce plants, he might as easily be infected with an odd alement such as Puc just by startling her...but it made Chive wonder a little...the name, "Vaye"...a name such as that doesn't sound like it would belong to a rebel thrown over the edge to result to violence against old faces...but Chive would finalize his theory after getting a look at this girl...until then, she's classified as nothing but a threat, which must be confronted and questioned.
"..I know not of any beaches..so I will try the gate first." Chive stated as he fixed his gear up, begining a flip around into a circle, and starting one final favor. "Please keep your condition hidden from the others, Puc.." Chive asked, floating down and infront of his portal, "..my siblings tend to....how you say..."freak" at one another when exited enough." With his plea thrown out, Chive glided through hs portal, landing gently on the top of the Dream Gate's foutain's peak, the perfect place to survey the entrance area.
Wait...Puc had said he recieved this virus from Vaye on their last misson, correct? But if that was correct, following with what he said before about the beach would mean Eva and Puc were together at a beach. How odd...what kind of mission could those two conduct together in a place like that?

Puc watched as Chive went through the portal to go find Vaye, he walked back to his room, he would have to keep this hidden from Eva....but then again, it would be rude of him to hide secrets from Eva, and to have her care once again.....maybe be able to stop this virus. No, Chive has already gone and possibly risked his life, not sure if Vaye had changed, on finding the antidote to this virus. Puc returned back to his room, waiting to be cured.

Vaye laid on the edge of the dream gate fountain, dipping her hand in the cool water, making water rings expand and disappear. It wasn't easy to give up on the feeling of revenge, because once its gone, life would return back to what it was, Vaye being a nobody, a forgotten soul who's existence was once great, but now useless. She wanted to tell Puc....she saw his mistake first hand, and yet didn't even give warning to what would become...typical...she still wanted Puc to suffer before she is satisfied

Chive gazed all around from his post atop the high peak of the gate's fountain, his half closed eyes scanning over every inch of the wide area around him. Perhaps it would have been wise to ask Puc for a descripton of what this Vaye looks like before taking off on his detour...oh well..Chive will have to work with what he can now...it doesn't appear as though anyone is even around here other than him, anyway. Chive slowly let his gaze drop to the flowing water just inches below his feet, thinking quietly to himself on the spot he'll survey next...but as he drifted back out of his thoughts and he saw the pure water again...Chive saw a figure through it...
Slowly, Chive drited down the fountain, watching the figure form what appeared to be a Nightmaren...perhaps a girl. At this time, there isn't any proof to say that this girl is the person he's looking for...but there isn't anything to say she's not, either.
"....Pardon me, Miss-.." Chive started gently, trying to attract the girl's attention to him as he decended onto a statue a little ways away from her, "...M...May I ask you something?"

Vaye sat up at the appearance of an unknown stranger. A common passerby? possible as any nightmaren could arrive at the dream gate......but perhaps this was someone sent by Wizeman....to seal her once again in place she doesn't belong....no, she had to stay strong, showing fear would make her easily vulnerable. She cleared her throat, "Yes, what do you need to?" A third option came to mind....the trees around could sense this strangers smell.....he's been around Puc.....was this nightmaren sent under Puc's request.....she shouldn't skip to conclusions...

[sorry I've been gone for two weeks, vacation came by so quickly, that I forgot about the rp. I hope this story can still continue on]

"Thank you..." Chive replied politely, pleased to have been given the aid he requested without hassle, but still aching to make his time here brief. "Although it is a bit of an odd question for me to ask you...do you perhaps know anyone by the name of "Vaye"? I have come along to..."request" her of something rather..important.."
Even if this girl was providing him help Chive still felt cautious to let anything incriminating slip by through his words...if this girl indeed turns out to be the one he's looking for, the lack of information would prove benifitial for him. ...or at least it should.

Vaye gulped her breath.....something important, why would anyone need Vaye's help, was her skills with plants finally recognized. This messenger has Puc's scent, does that mean........he wants a cure.....Vaye pouted, to think Puc would be so much of a coward that he'd send some else to do his bidding, did this mean......so many questions went through Vaye's mind, but none of them would be answered if she kept thinking more questions. "No, I don't know anybody by that name..." Vaye answered bluntly...if Puc wanted to live, he would have to let the virus take over......so much for being mellow

Reala stood before Lei-Lei, the last in line to prove his worth to Wizeman, with chance being survive and prosper or lose and be destroyed. NiGHTS survived and flew away, SPiTE was taken down in one hit.....Reala still couldn't tell Lei-Lei's fighting style after his own practice brawls against her. "How about I make a deal with you Reala..." Lei-Lei spoke, approaching him with no threat, "I'll throw our match, if you destroy SPiTE's existence. He's been becoming a pest, and by Master's orders, those who can't prove themselves should expect elimination It's your choice, be excused from the match, or still fight the match...."

"..I see.." Chive mumbled to himself quietly, looking back towards the dancing water as his mind slipped into thought again. Chive isn't one to disbelive what others tell him, so it's safe to say he half-way believed that Vaye must be some other Nightmaren girl lurking around the Dream Gate somewhere, but he doesn't have much information to go on..and what little description he does have...this girl fits..
"...Ma'am.." Chive spoke again, his tone repeating the question before in its hopefull ringing, "...may I then have your name, if you would not mind?"

"It's more polite to give your own name before asking of others" Vaye reassured this messenger. It wasn't easy to fool him, Puc must have told him everything he knew about her if he was able to find her so easily.....curses.....she would have to fake a name that wasn't to obvious......her other choice was to run away.....but that would mean taking the chance of getting caught....
