Promoting NiGHTS

wouldnt that just make sega angrier we are lucky NiGHTS even makes cameo appearences with his/her only two games

How would discussing how much we want to see NiGHTS make Sega angry?
Nobody's sending spam or being rude about it as far as I know.

i dont know just the way several people send emails and talk to sega about NiGHTS i just thought they may have been a little annoyied just my opinion im not sure if its right or wrong only sega knows that.

Well as long as no one is spamming or being rude, Sega has no reason to be angry. Sega can't get mad at us for talking about it or people sending only one email each.

Sega is a big company! They should be able to handle a bunch of emails that say the same thing! They only have to answer the question once! It's not like they all have reply to them all...

Well recently, Steve Lycett of SUMO got word of what we're doing through the SEGA forums. As far as we know so far, he's on our side and supporting us. This should be a big help to our fight.

I'll probably get lynched, but I have to say that I was not happy with the broadcast.
A threat was made and Lynne looked like she was about to cry, which upset me.

Yes promote NiGHTS, but don't do anything drastic.
People naturally shun anyone who they deem to be too emotional and irrational, and this sort of attitude is more likely to drive people away than gain any sympathizers.

Someone from the .com told a member to "Shut up" on the Sega forum, when they calmly voiced their concern over the broadcast. I don't want to be lumped in with that sort of bad attitude, and I hope that you don't either.
Granted, the person was probably emotional and overreacting. But when representing a group (the fandom) we should strive to be on our best behavior.

I'd like to urge everyone to please try to avoid getting emotional. State your interest and reasoning, and leave it at that. Otherwise we could lose the fandom as we know it, as well as NiGHTS.

Most NiGHTS fans are not overly emotional fanatics, and I don't want anyone not familiar with us to get the wrong idea.

Yeah, I can tell that there are some upset feelings over the broadcast. I think that the decision that DiGi made is a bit too drastic.

Yet I will support NiGHTS as much as I can.

Since I approve of the sentiment but not the methods, I'd rather not mislead the fans into following a path that could make the fandom look bad, rather than getting NiGHTS the attention that (s)he deserves.

I personally agree with DiGi 100%.
I think Sega just doesn't want anything to do with NiGHTS anymore, unless it's an extra.

That would be pretty sad if it's true. I sure hope that SEGA learns to love NiGHTS again.

Sega only really loves Sonic because that's what has sold the most over the years. Everything else was just a little extra money. They want to see numbers, which Sonic gives them, but NiGHTS doesn't. That's why this campaign is going in the first place. We're trying to give them numbers.

Sonic is a main character that everyone knows from most of SEGA's games, and NiGHTS is only to the interested of its adoring fans, which unfortunately, loses in a 1:5 ratio against sonic
but if numbers do mater, then numbers would explain the sales between the original release NiGHTS and the wii sequel, the sequel sold less copies, and was brought down from 50 to 20 dollars in two to three months, but then again, that also happened to the wii release of Samba de Amigo
so maybe there's a connection.
All I know is, Sega has only planned games with many SEGA characters for the next couple of years.
Guess it would be for the best to promote NiGHTS now, even with no plans for a third release

Try to keep it optimistic, Musashi. NiGHTS could still be a DLC, and there will be other games...
And it is possible that NiGHTS is in, however unlikely it seems at this point.

I'm really trying SiLK. Its just that day after day of promoting the heck out of this campaign and not seeing much in the way of any results is a little frustrating and discouraging. However, I'm gonna keep doing it for the love of NiGHTS...

well then, from several demo videos, this is the current list of characters in all-stars racing
-Sonic
-Tails
-AiAi
-Amigo
-Eggman
all of which are proven character from the official trailer and website.
-Amy
Although she was not in the trailer, she is a playable character in the demo, along with sonic, AiAi, and Amigo
-Big
-Shadow
were cpus in the demo, but not playable characters

So from that list there is already 8 characters, with a supposed 15-18 characters in total with the game [including unlockable characters]
leaving 7-10 character spots left to take
and while we want NiGHTS to be in this, there is at most 10% chance of getting one of these spots
but something else I figured out, and that's there's a chance they use a character's stage but not that character.
examples: two stages were shown off in the demo
seaside hill from Sonic Heros
and Blizzard castle from Bill Hatcher
and with a Bill Hatcher stage, does it make sense that he would be in this game, or is it just his stage and that's that?

I just found out Banjo & Kazooie is gonna be in ASR...
