What was the first game you ever played?
For me it was Mega Man 2 on the NES. I remember one day I was watching my brother and his friend from across the street playing it at my house and then they got bored and decided to let me play and see how bad I would do. I was so happy even though I was horrible at it. It was so much fun. That day started a long journey in gaming for me that I'm still on even to this day. What was your first game? Do you remember the experience that surrounds you playing it?

I remember it well
I hated video games until this day
the very first game was Mario!
I don't remember what one, but I had a blast! It was one of the first ones...
Anyway, my sister and brother were arguing over who was gonna play, being the youngest, I just stayed out of it.
Then they decided to let me play instead. Like any other mean brother/sister act, it was to make fun of me.
I did bad, but I had so much fun!

Pitfall...
What a story of how Pitfall was my first game, granted my age.
It was actually my Dad's Atari 2600, he played video games in the early-mid 80s. One day, my sister found the Atari 2600 in the attic along with three Atari games. She brought the system downstairs and asked my Dad to hook it up. He did, and the only game that worked was Pitfall. We called him, "Jungle Jim," and we didn't really did that well at the game. (Those darn crocodiles...alligators...whatever those green things are.)
My Dad actually sold the system at a Garage Sale for a very cheap price. This was before Ebay, so he felt as though he should have waited a few years, then sell the Atari on the internet.
My parents didn't want us to own a game system when I was younger, but gave into my sister's begging in 1999. We got a Nintendo 64, which came with a Star Wars Pod Racing game. We also got Mario Kart 64, which was the game that my sister wanted.
So, um...either Pitfall or Mario Kart...whatever counts. :XD

PacMan, on my older brother's Atari. I kept getting upset as a young child because the ghosts wouldn't stop chasing me. XD
The first game I actually owned though, was a little collection of educational games. I remember my favorite was a window washing game. You got to see all the faces and pets and plants in the windows, then a rainstorm would come and obscure them. Then your window washer guy would come and you'd pick which windows to clean, trying to match the faces up.
I miss the good old days of Atari sometimes...

This topic is one I can :3 about, because most of the games listed were ones I played when I first started playing, but the one that I can remember playing first was Bubble Bobble, mom would come home from work and we'd play it, that and Rainbow Island, I was like 3 at the time, its all :3.

The first game I ever played was Sonic The Hedgehog 2 on the Sega Genesis. And like many others I thought Tails was a girl. XD

Im not exactly sure about the first video game I played, it was either Spyro The Dragon on my PlayStation one or Super Smash Bros on an old nitendo at my babysitter's house.

Some of the old games we've mentioned in this topic I still play today, I like them more than a lot of the newer games.

Haha, I still occasionally play Spyro . . . I'd play others if I had them though.
