though I was looking forward to playing Pokemon Topaz and Pokemon Amethyst
going right back to monotone colors
wonder why didn't start off with those names when pokemon was back on the black and white gameboy?

They must have not thinking about it then.So who do you think the starters will be?

I just heard of these games and i must say that quick XD they literaly only gave japan hg and ss like what 3 months ago. and we just got hg and ss like 2 maybe 3 weeks and they allready come out with this cool.

and as we know those fox pokemon are going to be there as well but i wonder what will they call this reigon.

i cant really say i know i mean maybe that fox pokemon but i really think that will be like one of the first pokemon you catch hmmm. maybe a different kind of fire type like a kamodo dragon or something.

To be honest, I think its a little ridiculous how far they have gone with pokemon. Over the past 15 years, Nintendo has been releasing the same game, except with a bit of new junk in. I used to be able to name all the pokemon that existed, back when it was only 151. But now that the number is going up to something like 502, its impossible. Kids, I'm old enough to remember the pokemon craze the first time around. I really think Nintendo needs to stop because there isn't anything really new about any of these games any more.

I some what agree with Musashi. I grew playing Pokemon blue on my turquoise game boy color while watching the first season of pokemon every weekday morning before school. Now, Pokemon continues to be a big craze in anime, video games, card games, and toys, and will continue to do so. Why? As long as pokemon are continuing to make their appearance.
Would it be easier just to remember the original 151, absolutely!
However, as a craze, it will continue to update as long asnintendo updates all their systems, there will alwasy be a new pokemon game.

I have to agree with Korin-of the-dusk. Can Nintendo for once make a new console without making a new Pokemon game?

another complaint I have with all new pokemon games is having evolutions for already existing pokemon
For the the johto games of gold and silver, baby pokemon were cute.
But with the recent updates from the latest generation, it was too much.
It has also been said that in black and white, there will be more of these new evolutions to older pokemon, including two or three more eeveelutions

It's fine if they want to give eevee more eeveeloutions, considering it could adapt to any one of the 17 types (Wait, 15?) so it makes sense.

They look like they're 17 or 15.

American release was today, and so far it looks really nice. Only problem since it's new I'm having a lot of trouble picking out a team. (The guide didn't come with a pokedex. )
